1. Interview is the basic form of selecting procedure for most large companies. Some people think it is unreliable and there are some other better methods. Discuss and give your own opinion.

2. More and more people buy and use their own car.do you think the advantages of this trend for individuals overweigh the disadvantages for environment?

3. In modern society, ambition is more and more important. How important is ambition for being successful in life? Is it positive or negative?

4. In the past, people store knowledge in the books. Nowadays people store knowledge on the internet. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

5. Some people think that university should not provide theoretical knowledge, but to give practical training that is beneficial to society. Do you agree or disagree?

8. Advertising encourages consumers to buy in quantity rather than promoting in quality. Do you agree or disagree?

大作文tips：

1)在提出一個論點后，一定要記得用條理清晰、符合常識、內(nèi)容詳實的論據(jù)來支撐論點。

2)句與句之間如果有邏輯關(guān)系，則一定要加邏輯連詞，這樣行文會更流暢。

3)使用名詞做主語、變主動語態(tài)為被動語態(tài)(eg. Companies produce more than before可改寫成Productivity of companies is promoted)，是提高文章正式性的好方法哦~

工作類

1. It is better for people to be unemployed rather than to be employed without a job they enjoy.To what extend do you agree or disagree?

2. In some countries, it is illegal for companies to reject job applicant for their age. Is this a positive or negative development?

3. It is suggested that all the young adults should undertake a period of unpaid work helping people in the community. Does it bring more benefits or drawbacks to the community and the young people?

工作類話題思路參考：

1.關(guān)于工作滿意度和工作穩(wěn)定性：有人認為滿意度比穩(wěn)定性(stability)重要，他們相信對工作內(nèi)容的興趣和熱情是決定了工作成就的最主要因素，只有在做自己喜歡的事情時，人們才會全身心地投入(delicate)，從而產(chǎn)出更大的成果。但另一些人認為，穩(wěn)定性才是選擇工作的首要條件，如醫(yī)生、教師、律師、工程師這樣的職業(yè)是可以做一輩子的(life-long career)，能夠提供給人穩(wěn)定(secured)的收入來源，而穩(wěn)定的經(jīng)濟收入比什么都重要。

2.關(guān)于頻繁更換工作：頻繁換工作對雇員來講，其好處在于能夠通過不斷的嘗試，認清(identify)自己最適合做的工作是什么，找到自己的興趣所在，從而獲得越來越高的工作滿意度，但其壞處在于，沒有長期的經(jīng)驗積累(experience accumulation)，專業(yè)程度不高，個人的職業(yè)競爭力(competitiveness)會很弱。對雇主來講，雇員流動性大的好處在于可以不考慮晉升(promotion)和加薪(pay raise)問題，節(jié)約用人成本(labor cost)，但壞處在于，團隊不穩(wěn)定影響人際關(guān)系(interpersonal relationship)，員工專業(yè)化水平低影響公司發(fā)展。

教育類

1.Nowadays，full-time university students tend to focus on their studying. Some people think it is essential for university students to be involved in other activities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

2. Some people think family has great influence on children's development. Others, however, believe that other things, such as media, have greater effects. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

3. Many students are taught to push themselves and try hard to be better than their classmates, rather than work together for everyone’s benefits. Do the disadvantages of training students to be competitive outweigh the advantages?

政府類

1. Towns and cities are attractive places. Some suggest the government should spend money putting in more works of art like paintings and statues to make them better to live in. Do you agree or disagree?

2. Housing shortage in big cities can cause severe social consequences. Some people think only government action can solve this problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

3. Some people think government should be responsible for providing financial support to old people after they retire, but others believe individuals should save money for themselves. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

1. Advertisements encourage consumers to buy in quantity rather than in quality. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
