“因為”別再說because了，學學這幾種表達方法!

1.owing to

Owing to the help from his mother, he has made rapid progress.

因為他媽媽的幫助，他進步很快。

2.thanks to

Thanks to the angle at which TOM stood, he could just see the sunset.

由于站的位置視角好，湯姆剛好能看見日落。

3.as a result of

Millions of people are threatened with starvation as a result of drought and poor harvests.

數百萬的人因干旱和歉收而受到饑餓的威脅。

4.due to

The little girl began to cry due to the thunder.

那個小女孩因為打雷而哭了起來

5.on account of

He was very scared on account of darkness.

因為天黑，他非常害怕

6.since

I'm forever on a diet, since I put on weight easily.

我永遠都在減肥，因為我很容易長胖。

“我認為”別再說 I think了，學學這幾種表達方法!

1.I reckon

This is a more informal way of giving your opinion: 這個表達更多地用在非正式場合。

例句：I reckon it will be much faster to get to London by train.

我認為坐火車去倫敦會更快。

2. In my opinion /(3)In my view

These expressions are more formal and are often used when talking about important issues 這兩個詞組比較正式，并且通常在討論重要問題時使用。

例句： In my opinion, the Bank of England should not raise interest rates this year.

我認為英國銀行今年不應該增加利息。

In my view, they made a huge mistake in not selling the company when they had the chance.

在我看來，當他們有機會賣掉公司時卻不賣是個重大的錯誤。

4. It seems to me (5) All things considered

When you’ve thought about a situation carefully you could use either of these two expressions.這兩個句式常用來表達經過深思熟慮后的意見。

例句：It seems to me that they are spending more money than they need to attract new talent into the company.

在我看來，在為公司引進新人才時，他們的花費比實際需求多很多。

All things considered, I think we made a wise choice in recruiting James.

總的來看，我認為招聘詹姆斯是一個明智的選擇。

6. If you ask me

This is used when your opinion is critical. Sometimes, people say this even when their opinion hasn’t been asked for! 這個句式可以用來表達建設性的批評或意見。有時，人們甚至會在沒有被詢問意見的時候使用這個短語。

例句： –“If you ask me,…..”

“依我看…”

–“But I didn’t ask you….!”

但是我沒有問你…”!

If you ask me, she has spoilt her children far too much.

依我看，她太過溺愛她的孩子了。

7. To be honest (8) To tell you the truth (9) To be frank

All three expressions are a way of giving your opinion when you know that people may not like what you have to say 如果需要說些不討喜的話，這三個短語能派上用場。

例句： To tell you the truth, your father was right when he said that you undersold the company.

恕我直言，你父親對你低價拋售公司的判斷是對的。

To be honest, I preferred it when you were blonde.

說實話，我更喜歡你金發(fā)的樣子。

To be frank, I thought her acting was simply terrible.

坦白講，我覺得他的表演很糟糕。

10. Frankly speaking

You would use this expression to give your opinion in a more familiar and forthright way. 這是一種更親近和直率的表達意見的方式。

例句： Frankly speaking, I don’t know what she sees in him.

坦白地說，我不知道她看上他哪一點。

11. Personally

This is used to emphasize that you are giving your own opinion Personally通常用來強調你表達的只是個人意見。

例句：Personally, I think the CEO should apologize for his appalling behavior at the shareholders meeting.

就我而言，我認為總裁應該為他在股東大會的惡劣行為道歉。

12. To my mind (13) As far as

I’m concerned When you realize that other people may not agree with you, you would use either of these expressions.如果你覺得別人可能不會同意你的意見，可以使用這兩種表達中的任意一種。

例句：To my mind, private education is better than state education.

依我看，私立教育比公立教育好。

As far as I’m concerned, tennis is a much more interesting sport than football.

就我而言，網球比足球有意思多了。
